It’s been almost three years since Sony last launched a new PlayStation console, and unsurprisingly fans are looking ahead to what’s next.
Now, an image of what appears to be the PlayStation 5 controller has been posted on Twitter by Ray Sekiro.
The controller, which is rumoured to be called the DualShock5 includes a small touchscreen on the front, alongside the traditional action and directional buttons.
While previous rumours have hinted that the PS5 controller will feature a touchscreen, it seems that not everyone is convinced that the image is the real deal.

Pushsquare said: “This is less authentic than a Hollywood smile. The bogus input device includes a small touchscreen on the front, because that was rumoured once.
“This hasn’t been corroborated by any reliable sources and is clearly a total sham.”
It’s also had mixed reviews by Sony fans on Twitter.

One user said: “Fine with the shape, but don’t like the screen at all. Another battery drainer.”
Another added: “Looks fragile, expensive and battery inefficient. Definitely would like to see them commit and do more w the touch screen on games.”
Sony is yet to confirm any rumours about the PlayStation 5 - we’ll have to wait and see what they have in store for us!
