Playing against Liverpool at Anfield was a "dream come true" for hotshot striker Erling Braut Haaland.
The 20-year-old emerged last season as one of the brightest attacking prospects in Europe after bursting onto the scene with Red Bull Salzburg.
His prolific exploits with the Austrian side saw him secure a move to Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in January at the same time his team-mate Takumi Minamino moved to Liverpool.
His goalgetting has continued with the Schwatzgelb and he grabbed his first international hat-trick earlier this week, banging home a treble in Norway's 4–0 UEFA Nations League win over Romania.
Liverpool were of course were paired with Haaland and Salzburg in last season's Champions League group stages and a clip has emerged from a documentary detailing the Austrian club's adventures in the Europe's premier cup competition showing just how much Haaland was looking forward to playing at Anfield.
Haaland, son of former Nottingham Forest and Leeds United midfielder Alf Inge Haaland, had already scored a hat-trick on his Champions League debut against Genk when he and Salzburg travelled to Anfield early last October on matchday two.
A clip from Jeder.Mann - This Is Salzburg on Reddit - shows Haaland and the Salzburg team training at Anfield the night before the game with the young striker visibly excited at playing against the European champions in one of the world's most iconic stadiums.
Haaland, his eyes shining as he takes in the empty stands around him, says: "The best team in the world.. very good fans, stadium, atmosphere, everything.
"So tonight is a dream coming true playing here."
Illness prevented Haaland from starting the match but he came off the substitutes bench to grab a second half equaliser as the Austrians stunned Klopp's men by fighting back to level after going three goals down in the first half, before Mo Salah grabbed a 69th minute winner for the Reds.
Haaland went on to score as well in Salzburg's next three European games making him the first teenager to score in five consecutive Champions League matches, a run only halted when Liverpool won 2-0 in Austria in the final group game to secure qualification at Salzburg's expense.
Haaland bagged another two more Champions League goals after his transfer to Dortmund in January, making him only the second teenager to score 10 goals in the competition.
Haaland and Dortmund have been drawn in Group F of this year's Champions League, which begins next week, and will face Zenit St Petersburg, Club Brugge and Lazio
