I really hope we don’t see Jack Colback playing left-back for Nottingham Forest again.
I’ve made my feelings clear about putting Ben Osborn in that position, and I think we can put Colback in the same category now.
It wasn’t that he did a bad job there; he actually did okay against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday. But it was just a waste. We need him in midfield.

If Colback was going to be a defender, he’d already have been playing there. But he’s not - he’s a midfielder, and a very good one at that.
We had a centre-half on the bench, in Yohan Benalouane. Don’t get me wrong, Jack Robinson isn’t bad at centre-half; he’s a bit like Danny Fox, he can play there and at full-back.
But Robinson’s best position is left-back, just like Colback’s is in midfield.
Sometimes it doesn’t hurt to try different things, but I hope we don’t try that one again.
I just think the manager, Martin O’Neill, has got too big a squad and he’s still trying to work out what his best team is.
It can be difficult to manage the size of squad we’ve got, so we really need to let quite a few go in the summer.
Martin’s got that many players, he’s having a go at different things to try to find the right system and the right team.
It’s Martin who picks the team; it’s his choice.
He picks the XI he thinks is best - and if you asked 100 different supporters, they would all come up with a different line-up. It’s all about opinions.
