Playground Festival organisers have announced the event will return next year.
After its first outing earlier this year, the Rouken Glen extravaganza will be back in the summer of 2020.
Set within 200,000 square feet of luscious gardens and woods, the inaugural Playground Festival attracted more than 14,000 revellers who enjoyed unforgettable performances from international acts including Groove Armada, Hot Chip, Django Django and Anna Calvi.
Lauryn Hill was there too, but the less about that one, the better...
A festival spokesperson said: “We are so looking forward to bringing Playground Festival back to Rouken Glen Park, and working with East Renfrewshire council to deliver a festival fit for the phenomenal surroundings of one of the UK’s best parks.”
“Like every major UK festival, we have big ambitions to deliver a world-class line-up of music next summer and cannot wait to announce our first headliner.”
In addition to a carefully curated ‘Food Forrest’, Playground Festival 2020 also promises to be a family-friendly affair thanks to Mini Manoeuvres who will be on-site all weekend providing face-painting, soft play, dancing and games for the little ones.
The event will also feature aerial acrobatic performers, a craft beer area and a dedicated gin garden.
Playground Festival 2020 will take place on Friday July 31, Saturday 1and Sunday, August 2 in Rouken Glen Park, Giffnock.
