Playful Staffie called Callie needs a forever home away from the noise of the city

A friendly Staffie cross called Callie needs to a find a forever home, and is looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The five-year-old pooch is currently staying at the Dogs Trust's rehoming centre in West Calder, where staff are trying to find her new owners.

There will even be a special Spotlight event at the shelter on the afternoon of Sunday, October 6 where Callie will be the centre of attention.

She needs a calm, adult-only household where she is the only pet.

The Dogs Trust says: "While she craves attention from her loved ones, Callie is a sensitive girl who can be uncomfortable around strangers and visitors in her home. She would love to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and find a cosy and tranquil spot to call home.

"Callie’s new owners will need to be patient and understanding and take their time to build up a trusting and loving relationship with this sweet girl."

You can find out more about adopting Callie here.
