Community Parks are a new thing in skate. These are small skating parks that rotate every season or event. The layout of these parks rotates daily. We have gotten some pretty cool community parks since the release. The early-access Hedgemont community park, featuring a mega ramp, is a notable mention.
Not all of these community parks will be good. However, the recent Market Mile Park is, according to some fans, “AI-generated”. Now, it’s probably not AI-generated, but because the park’s layout looks quite bland, fans have started calling it by that term.
The debate started because of a post on the r/skateEA subreddit by kombsproduction, calling the new community skate park AI-generated. Here is what the post says.
“I don’t understand. Is this AI? Surely a skateboarder didn’t make this park. This is something I would make at 7 years old on THPS: create a park. This is extremely disappointing. 15 years for this.”
Whether you agree with kombsproduction’s sentiment is up to you. However, a lot of people do agree that this park is quite boring compared to what we have previously seen. But there are other comments defending the park as well.
Is The Community Park Really That Bad?

Community Parks are basically made by other players who got access to the game 2 years before release. The devs take these maps, polish them up, and release them as community parks. Whether the park is bad or good is a personal preference.
In my opinion, I don’t necessarily hate the new community park. However, it does lack a bit of depth in terms of design. Not to mention, they should move away from the blue/yellow color choice, as it makes these parks feel less authentic.
“I’ve seen a few that seem like a joke, but this layout ain’t too bad, I think the blue and yellow really ruins it. Like if there was a raised platform park, with a layout exactly like this, with a railed bridge over a pond or bowl, it’d be a kinda fun line. It just looks and feels so cheap with the weird colors.”
A lot of commenters pointed out that skating is all about creativity, and if you are observant enough, you can find a lot of neat lines in this park. Not to mention, you have the option to add your own ramps and verts to make these parks even more fun. You don’t necessarily have to stick to the layout given to you. You can add a ramp, railing, and so many fun objects to create the line you want. Maybe invite a friend and start a throwdown.
