Players react to Titans LB Derrick Morgan’s retirement

Tennessee Titans linebacker Derrick Morgan has officially retired from the NFL after a nine-season career.

Morgan was originally drafted at No. 16 overall by the Titans in the 2010 NFL Draft. He spent the entirety of his career with Tennessee before becoming a free agent.

Both the team and its players are sad to see him go from the league.

The Titans’ official Twitter account tweeted out a “thank you” in light of the news.

Other former teammates also congratulated Morgan on a great career and wished him the best in his future endeavors beyond the gridiron.

Over 106 starts in 118 games, Morgan posted 305 tackles, 44.5 sacks, 26 passes defensed and five forced fumbles.
