If you’re watching the Sentry Tournament of Champions this weekend, you’ll notice many of the players in the field with a green ribbon pinned somewhere on their apparel. Unfortunately, it’s to honor someone who recently passed away.
Tony Finau’s wife, Alayna Galea’i-Finau, recently lost her father, Tipa Galeai.
Tony put together the tribute and his fellow players were more than happy to support his family in this difficult time.
In an Instagram post, Alayna showed her gratitude for the gesture.
“no words can ever express how much this means to my family and I, & how grateful we are! A month ago, Dad was so excited planning for Maui 💔 from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU all, for this beautiful tribute & carrying Dad w y’all on the course today!”
