Players Championship: Tiger Woods one-ups Kevin Na in hilarious moment

One day after carding a disastrous quadruple bogey on TPC Sawgrass’ signature 17th hole, Tiger Woods and Kevin Na caused the gallery at the island green to crack up with their post-putt antics.

Na hit a magnificent tee shot at the par-3 to within five feet of the hole, and he was so sure about his birdie putt that he bent down to pick it out of the cup before it had even reached the hole.

Tiger couldn’t help but laugh at Na’s quick move to the cup – and not to be outdone, the 14-time major champion jumped out of his putting stance to pick up the ball on a three-foot birdie putt.

It was a satisfying way to cap what began as a frustrating day for Woods, who played his opening eight holes at 3-over par and was in danger of dropping below the secondary cut line. Woods got a shot back at the par-4 12th hole after driving the green, and then took advantage of the par-5 16th before hitting his best shot of the day at the island green.
