Manchester United youth defender Iestyn Hughes has agreed to join Leicester in the summer transfer window.
Hughes, 18, has agreed a three-year deal with The Foxes and is set to complete his move to their youth side at the end of the current season.
The teenage right-back is a current Wales Under-19 international and was attracting plenty of Premier League interest prior to his deal with Leicester.
Taking to social media over the weekend Hughes' mum, Samantha, confirmed the imminent transfer exit as she posted an update from their trip to see the youngster's new facilities at Leicester.
"Great day seeing where Iestyn's journey will continue," she tweeted.
"All the hard work, dedication, commitment and sacrifices you’ve made have been so worth it after seeing this today. Proud mum and dad."
Hughes has made 14 appearances for United's Under-18s this season and has also appeared once for the Under-23 side in the Premier League 2.
It is believed the Welsh youngster will compete with Vontae Daley-Campbell and Mitchell Clark for a starting berth at right-back in Leicester's reserve side next season as he looks to continue with his development.
