Marine’s FA Trophy tie on Saturday was temporarily suspended due to an issue with the floodlights - leading to one of the players from the visiting team Dunston leaving the field to attempt to fix the problem.
The first-round clash was halted moments into the second half when floodlights at Marine’s Rossett Park suddenly stopped working.
The Merseyside club then notified fans at the game and those following on Twitter that an electrician was trying to solve the matter.
And that electrician turned out to be Dunston’s 34-year-old midfielder Phil Turnbull.
Turnbull, who works as a spark, quickly set about attempting to get the lights back on.

Marine, who memorably hosted Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup third round in January, praised Turnbull, who picked up the phone to a friend back in the north east, for his help.
The fact that he didn't have his tools meant the former Darlington and Gateshead man could not sort the issue on his own. But soon after another electrician turned up, with the needed equipment, and light was restored.
The match resumed and after Marine let a two-goal lead slip, it finished 2-2 at the end of 90 minutes.
But the Mariners progressed to the next round by beating Dunston 5-4 on penalties.
