Play-offs or collapse - Predict Nottingham Forest's results for the rest of 2021

Nottingham Forest head coach Steve Cooper will be given the chance to continue his successful reign as the Reds fast approach a chaotic run of the games over the Christmas period.

Forest sit 13th in the Championship after finding a fantastic run of form since Cooper's arrival at the helm and with facing only one member of the top seven over the festive period, it will give Forest the chance to tally up the points and close in on the play-offs.

After their 3-0 victory over Preston North End on Saturday, Forest will make the journey to Berkshire on their return from the international break to face 16th placed Reading before returning to the City Ground to take on Luton Town, who sit just above the Reds in the Championship in 10th.

Forest will remain in the Midlands as they make the journey to the Hawthorns to face West Brom, who have sat comfortably near the top of the table for most of this season and continue to find points to close in on automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Cooper's men will then host a Peterborough United team who have struggled to adjust to the requirements in the Championship, with Cooper then facing his old club in Swansea City in his homeland, from where he departed last season.

Christmas will be celebrated early at the City Ground with Forest hosting relegation-threatened Hull City on December 18.

A Boxing Day trip to Teeside will see a close encounter with newly appointed Chris Wilder and his Middlesbrough side before the year draws to a close on December 30, with a home game against eighth-placed Huddersfield Town.
