A new play about the realities of living with dementia is coming to Belfast this month.
The production has been described as "an honest but uplifting look at the experiences of people living with a dementia diagnosis its effect on individuals and families".
Written and directed by Guy Le Jeune, and produced by An Grianán Theatre Letterkenny, 'Songbirds' has been developed through interviews with the dementia community.
Dementia Friendly East Belfast are now inviting anyone living with dementia, their families or simply anyone who wants and insight into the illness to come along to the show.
A spokesperson for Dementia Friendly East Belfast said: "Are you or a loved one living with dementia? Or would you just like an insight into what living with a dementia diagnosis is like?
"Dementia Friendly East Belfast would like to invite you along to watch a performance of, ‘The Songbirds’, an honest but uplifting look at the experiences of people living with a dementia diagnosis its effect on individuals and families.
"With performances at two community venues in February and free admission, this one is not to be missed!"
Admission is free but booking is essential.
