It's one of the biggest events of the social calendar in Newcastle year in year out and the Northumberland Plate Festival has now kicked off.
The annual event kicked off at Newcastle Racecourse on Thursday and will continue on Friday evening with the Gosforth Park Cup Night.
And on Saturday it's the main event - Betfair Exchange Northumberland Plate Day with a huge crowd expected at the High Gosforth Park course for the occasion.

Eider Bar: A tribute to the famous jumps race of the same name, this bar is situated within the Grandstand Enclosure.

On feature racedays, there are a range of additional food and drink units positioned around the Grandstand and Premier Enclosures selling everything from currywurst sausages to pizza.
