A planning application has been submitted to build new student accommodation in Meadowbank.
Submitted by 3DReid, the plans would see 76-bed student residential accommodation on London Road.
The site is on a former car wash facility which ceased operations in 2018, which will be demolished to make way for the new flats.
Demolition of existing buildings and erection of purpose built student accommodation and associated landscaping and infrastructure.
The accommodation will consist of 72 studio bedrooms, plus four accessible student bedrooms, as well as a reception and student amenity space for the new residents to use.
There will also be a secure cycle store providing 64 spaces but will not offer parking spaces for vehicles "owing to the central, highly accessible location of the site".
The proposed site on 65 London Road will be linked to nearby student accommodation on 61-63 London Road, which is currently under cosntruction.

Developers say: “The application site is in a central location on London Road with good connections to public transport, offering high frequency bus services to all parts of the city. Higher education campuses can also be accessed by bicycle and in some cases by walking."
