Plans revealed for new hot food takeaway with ice cream parlour in West Lothian

Plans have been revealed for a new hot food takeaway with an ice-cream parlour in West Lothian.

West Lothian Council validated the proposal on July 13 and a decision will be made in the coming weeks.

The site at 14 East Main Street in Armadale is currently a hairdressing salon and the plans are to convert it into a take away.

The planning application shows a kitchen at the back of the premises and a large floor space for customers.

Ja’s salon previously operated from the premises in Armadale and they thanked locals for 20-years of support online recently.

They shut over a month ago and the owners have moved onto mobile hairdressing.

They said: “Last day of trading in salon Friday 4th of June.

“Would like to thank all customers and friends for all there support through the last 20 years very much appreciated.

“Both myself Jackie Hendry and Tracey Dunbar Wale will continue with changing to mobile.”
