A Liverpool developer has submitted proposals for a huge new u-shaped development consisting of almost 500 apartments and a 50,000sq ft roof garden.
Carpenter Investments says its plans for One Brunswick at the infilled Toxteth Dock will create a new "urban village neighbourhood"
If approved, it will become a development of 478 apartments - rising from four to 16 storeys - with private balconies and views across the Mersey, as the Liverpool Echo reports.

The 2.4 acre site is located immediately south of Brunswick Dock near to Sefton Street - on the site of the infilled Toxteth Dock, currently a surface level car park.
The striking u-shaped building would also incorporate a sky bar and restaurant.
Perhaps the most notable aspect of the plans is a 50,000 sq ft, one kilometre landscaped green trail that winds around the curves of the building and leads up to the restaurant and sky-bar.
It is described in the plans as the "defining feature of the development, creating a place to walk, take in the views, stroll and meet with friends and family."
The application also includes provision for offices, leisure and restaurant space.
The application claims that the development will bring "new skills and training to the area and has the significant potential to lift people from poverty and into work, and to allow the local community to help establish their own neighbourhood."
The firm behind the plans, north west firm Carpenter Investments have delivered more than £100m of completed developments since 2010 and have helped to create more than £65m of new buildings in Liverpool's Knowledge Quarter.
The plans claim that the development will bring ‘new skills and training to the area and has the significant potential to lift people from poverty and into work, and to allow the local community to help establish their own neighbourhood’.
Designed by Liverpool-based L7 Architects, Carpenter said it hopes the project will bring new life to the city's southern docks area and create a new Liverpool landmark.
The project is described as “a game-changing piece of architecture that truly brings the concept of placemaking to life”.
