New plans have been unveiled for a £120 million mixed-use development in Birmingham city centre.
Solihull-based developer BPG is leading the scheme on 2.5 acres of vacant land bordered by Kent Street, Gooch Street North and Lower Essex Street in the Southside district.
A series of buildings will be constructed in a square block reaching up to 11 storeys containing 456 apartments and 5,500 sq ft of ground floor commercial space, if given the green light by city planning chiefs.
There will also be a landscaped courtyard and a private 7,000 sq ft rooftop terrace as well as a new pedestrian street to the south of the project.
The site is currently occupied by low-rise industrial buildings which would be demolished.
BPG's development consultant John Tebbutt said: "With close proximity to both the city centre and the new HS2 station, the development will prove highly attractive to both investors and owner occupiers alike."
Property consultancy Knight Frank has advised BPG while Pennycuick Collins acted for the landowner Gooch Estate on the site disposal.
