Plans have been unveiled for a brand new whisky hotel that comes complete with a whisky fountain and free dram on check-in.
The $35m 134-room hotel will be an ode to the famous Scottish and American spirit and is set to open in LA in 2022.
Famous entrepreneur and restaurateur Adolfo Suaya announced the project, which he is calling the Whisky Hotel.
The boutique hotel will reportedly feature whisk(e)y-filled minibars, whisky 'sommeliers' and a whisk(e)y fountain in the lobby.
Guests arriving will get a complimentary dram of whisky when they check in at the seven story hotel, and enjoy a greenhouse-style rooftop restaurant and bar with large plants and glass panels offering views over Hollywood.
The Whisky Hotel also plans to host whisk(e)y-themed events such as cocktail classes and tastings.
A spokesperson for the team behind the project told What Now Los Angeles: “The Whisky Hotel aims to carve a niche in the growing whiskey tourism industry and plans to do so by providing a unique experience for connoisseurs and amateurs alike.
“Suaya wants to make every inch of this hotel an immersive experience, from the smell and the music to the whiskey sommelier on staff who will help guests expand their palates.”
