A huge thank you party is being planned for NHS staff in West Lothian.
Local man Mikey MacDonald is urging people to come forward and help make the event, scheduled for August, the ultimate show of gratitude for those medics who have worked on the frontline during the pandemic.
In a widely-shared social media post he's also urging nightclub owners and managers, entertainment and band managers and radio and TV contacts to pitch in for the party.
He says the event will act as a thank you to ICU staff at St John's Hospital in Livingston who turned their theatre recovery area into an intensive care unit at extremely short notice during the first wave of the virus.
Mikey suggests the event will take place in the Howden Park area, close to the hospital, with potential for NHS staff and their families to attend.
He adds: "It has become quite a big event and they have several bands agreeing to play already (hoping for 6-7) so have a stage, PA system etc. Hoping for a big marquee, they will have various stalls/ wee tents for things like photo booths, face painting, games, cakes, wellbeing and food and drink."
Hundreds of people have commented and shared Mikey's appeal in an attempt to spread word as far as possible.
With Scotland set to move down to levels one and zero in June, it is hoped that larger outdoor gatherings may be permitted for later in the summer.
At the start of this week – on Monday, April 26 – the country will take its first significant step out of lockdown with hospitality, gyms and non-essential retail reopening.
