If Liverpool FC win the 2019 Champions League the victory parade will take place the day after the final - Sunday, June 2.
The team will parade the trophy along a route starting at 4pm at Allerton Maze, then heading through the city, along The Strand to Blundell Street.
Huge crowds are expected to turn out to see their favourite players cheering on the back of the red Liverpool bus - so Liverpool City Council has issued advice to help make sure you get to enjoy the experience safely.
Victory parade timings
If Liverpool win, the trophy parade in the city will take place on Sunday, June 2 from 4pm.
The Champions League parade would take place when Liverpool is already staging two major events – River Festival Liverpool and the Bordeaux Wine Festival - which are already expected to attract tens of thousands of people to the waterfront.
Therefore, The River Festival Liverpool event would start earlier than advertised on Sunday to accommodate a parade. We will update this article with those details as soon as they are announced.
Parade route and map
The route starts at Allerton Maze (the junction where Allerton Road crosses over with Queens Drive) and will travel north bound on Queens Drive towards the Fiveways roundabout and Rocket flyover. From there it will journey along:
- Queens Drive
- Mill Bank
- West Derby Road
- Islington
- Leeds Street
- The Strand
- Route finishes at Blundell Street

Advice from Liverpool City Council
- Use the full length of the route. The open top bus won’t be stopping so take advantage of the full length of the route from Queens Drive all the way to The Strand.
- Decide which part of the route you want to wait at and arrive in plenty of time.
- Be patient – it is impossible to predict how long it will take the team bus to travel along the route.
- Due to the number of people coming in to and out of the city, there will be significant demands on public transport, with queuing likely.
