Plans for new restaurant on Dumbarton Road

Plans have been lodged for a new restaurant on Dumbarton Road, replacing a Card Factory store in Partick.

Glasgow City Council are currently reviewing proposals which would would see the retail unit at 372A Dumbarton Road converted into a cafe/restaurant.

The plans, submitted by Edinburgh & Northern Ltd, state an operator has yet to be found for the space, however likely opening hours are 8am - 11pm: "In the absence of a fixed end operator we don't have definitive proposed opening hours but as the application is often for class 3 use we would suggest 8am - 11pm."

Elsewhere in the plans it is confirmed: "The submitted plans provide an indication of likely expected internal layout alterations and none of these are expected to have any material impact on the character and integrity of the listed building.

"This application does not seek permission for any alterations to the front elevation or shopfront, although if Class 3 permission is secured then subsequent application/s are likely for this."

The Card Factory store, flanked by Boots Pharmacy and Ramsdens money shop, is currently being marketed for let or sale.
