Plans for new pizza cafe in Woodlands

Woodlands could soon be set for a new pizza cafe after a planning application was submitted for Amaavi to move to the area.

Documents published by Glasgow City Council this week show the intention to change the former Cave Antique Shop at 188 Woodlands Road - part of a listed building - into a 'pizza shop and takeaway'.

The plans, submitted on behalf of Ms Humaira Qureshi, the owner of the neighbouring Chillies West End restaurant, state: "Amaavi will be a good quality pizza shop catering predominantly for takeaway use.

"The unit will provide internal seating and an accessible wc facility for seating customers, but covering no more than 15 persons."

"The proposal for the shop unit layout will allow the original room configuration to remain largely unaltered with original cornices retained."

Meanwhile, drawings submitted as part of the application show the look of the potential new pizza venue, while plans detail the make-up of the shop floor.

The application, currently under consideration by Glasgow City Council, can be viewed in full, HERE.
