Plans for Edinburgh Asian eatery with multi-level restaurant, pub and karaoke rooms

A new Edinburgh pop-up that has taken the capital by storm will be opening a permanent restaurant - with a pub and karaoke rooms.

Bundits launched their Leith pop-up in the former Fly Half bar on Constitution Street just as Scotland entered the last lockdown, which brought their works to a halt and decimated the budget as customers were no longer allowed to enter the premises or purchase alcohol.

They are however really close to finishing the project and hope to open the venue fully by the end of May and are calling upon their Edinburgh fans in a bid to help them transform the business into a permanent bar and bunnerie.

The new, improved and permanent Bundits will be a fully-functioning pub, with 'street food stands', a karaoke room and a private party space across two floors.

Expect their show-stopping bao buns, Korean fried cauliflower and exciting new dishes being served alongside a great selection of beers, cocktails and spirits.

Bundits’ owner, Matthew Korecki says “We want Bundits of Leith to be a permanent fixture in Leith, and are very, very close to getting there. All we need now is a little bit of help and a little push to make it happen.

“We have the venue, the fantastic food and the staff of dreams; but need some money to finish the place up. We want it to be a place for absolutely anyone; fancy a quick breakfast bun (duuuuh) and a coffee on your way to work? We got you.

"Planning a hen party? Our events team will do all the hard work. Karaoke night with friends? Easy-peasy. A pint after work or a date night? Look no further.

“We are sure you get it, we want to be THAT place for you and our community, and we also want to give back.”

In exchange for donations the bar are giving the exact equivalent back in food and drinks vouchers, your name on the wall, merchandise and more.
