Plans for Covid vaccine protest outside Leeds' Benton Park School

There are reports a coronavirus vaccine protest is set to take place outside a Leeds school tomorrow (Fri).

A post being shared on social media says there will be a "peaceful" protest outside Benton Park School in Harrogate Road, Rawdon, from 2pm to 4pm.

In a message seen by LeedsLive, the organiser of the rally said: "We are not going there to intimidate, threaten or bully anyone at the school.

"It will be peaceful. We will be assembled on the road outside the main gate of the school."

In the post, they claim they are not 'anti-vax [sic] but 'anti-experimental vaccine'.

They went on to add there will need to be a "minimum of 100 people" in order for the protest to go ahead.

If the protest goes ahead tomorrow, it will not be the first time anti-vaxxers have made their feelings known in Leeds.

In July, anti-vaccine protesters swarmed the streets in Leeds city centre during a 'Freedom Rally' which caused huge disruption to roads and bus services in the area.
