Plans for 48 new homes and bypass road in West Lothian are revealed

Nearly 50 new homes could soon be built in West Lothian.

A planning application has been lodged to build the 48 properties near Lindean Terrace in Wilkieston.

The applicant, Bancon Homes, is seeking planning permission for the new estate

The company has also lodged a separate application for a bypass road and drainage that would serve the estate - which currently used for agriculture - if approved.

The second application from the Aberdeen-based company seeks permission for the construction of a Wilkieston bypass road from A71 to B7030, including spur access to the housing site with associated drainage and landscaping.

The application was submitted to West Lothian Council for consideration this week and a decision will be made in due course.
