Chrissy Teigen has remained defiant in the face of criticism over her pledge to support Planned Parenthood after one of its clinics was hit by a gun attack on Friday.
In tweets reacting to the shooting, the US model said she and her husband John Legend would make a donation to the family planning organisation immediately.
A gunman launched the attack on a facility in Colorado Springs at 11.30am, injuring and killing police officers and a civilian.
Her promise to donate the organisation, which is the biggest provider of legal abortions in America, drew scornful responses from pro-life advocates. But Teigan refused to back down and her stance was praised for promoting tolerance and equality.
Three people were killed when a gunman began firing shots near the clinic before entering the building during a six-hour stand-off. A suspect was detained by police and remains in custody.
Five officers and four civilians were wounded in the attack, according to the CSPD. They are all said to be in a good condition.
In a statement, Planned Parenthood said it has not yet established if the organisation was the target of the attack.
