The aircraft has been identified as an Airbus A319-111, an EasyJet plane that is reportedly being used for crew training.

Eagle-eyed residents had identified the plane at several points throughout the day, noticing its "strange" flight pattern.

Ian Grinter, a member of the South Wales Aviation Group, clarified the odd flying habit on his social media account.
