The single prop Piper Club craft was seen dangling from the overhead cables, appearing to be held in place by one of its wheels, near Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

It was first reported at around 4pm local time on Saturday.

The pilot was rescued by emergency services (Scott County Sheriff's Office)

Sheriff Luke Hennen of Scott County Sheriff's said: "This incident could have been much worse.

"We are grateful the pilot was able to walk away without any injuries.”

The investigation will be handled by the Federal Aviation Administration.
