Aeroplane crashes shortly after taking off from UK airport

An aero plane has crashed into a woodland area shortly after taking off from a UK airport.

An eyewitness claimed that the aircraft had departed from Rochester Airport, Kent, before it was seen falling from the sky into woodland nearby, the Mirror reports.

Emergency services are currently at the scene and there has been no reports of any injuries. Flights coming and going from the airport have been suspended according to reports and an investigation has been launched by Air Accidents Investigation Branch.

Rochester Airport's manager, Kelvin Carr revealed to the Mirror: ''A plane took off from Rochester but landed up elsewhere. The AAIB have been called and I can't say any more that that."
