Plane carrying 150 passengers almost runs out of tarmac in terrifying takeoff

A airplane full of passengers ran out of runway in Moscow after a pilot left take off right to the last minute.

As the jet sped off the end of the tarmac, it threw a large cloud of dust as it met the grass and destroyed lighting units.

Luckily for the 150 people on board, the plane succeeded with takeoff from Domodedova airport.

The incident happened on Monday and was captured on CCTV camera.

The vessel safely landed in Simferopol airport in Russia’s Crimea after leaving shattered glass on the runway at Domodeodovo.

The airline confirmed the emergency situation, adding that it didn't prevent the jet from completing its flight.

The reason behind the incident is not yet known, but some Russian Aviation websites report that the crew misjudged the takeoff weight by 15 tonnes.

Other reports claim that the team entered zero fuel weight instead of take off weight in the system.

The botched takeoff didn't affect other flights from the airport.
