Two men have been arrested during an investigation into the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old in east London.

Santino Angelo Dymiter was found critically injured after emergency services were called to Chadd Green, Plaistow, at around 3.30pm on August 26.

He was pronounced dead at the scene approximately an hour later.

A post-mortem examination confirmed the cause of death was a stab wound.

On Sunday, Scotland Yard said a 16-year-old boy had been arrested on suspicion of murder and a 24-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

The pair are being held in custody at an east London police station.

Police had previously arrested a 14-year-old boy from Barking and charged him with Mr Dymiter's murder.

Following his arrest on Thursday, the teenager was also charged with possession of a knife in a public place.

He appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court on Saturday where he was remanded in secure detention to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.
