With coronavirus lockdown forcing Edinburgh restaurants to close, many locals have been looking forward to getting back to support their favourite haunt.
From Wednesday (15 July), the hospitality sector was able to welcome customers back indoors providing they maintain social distancing.
Not every restaurant in Edinburgh has reopened immediately, so you might have to wait a little longer to get back to your favourite spot.

Makars Gourmet Mash Bar
The popular vegan friendly restaurant has said it will take a little longer to reopen safely. They’ve been keeping loyal fans entertained throughout, with owner Adam showing off his attempts at painting.

Locanda De Gusti
The popular seafood restaurant on Dalry Road will be reopening on August 3.
With a fresh menu every day inspired by the Mediterranean, it might be a great choice if you are missing your summer getaway.
Harajuku Kitchen
After four months of lockdown this sushi restaurant said they were excited to reopen from Monday 20 July.
As with every restaurant, they’ll need you to book online or call in advance.
@Pizza
This pizza restaurant in the West End is open for business and welcoming customers back.
Dining tables will be socially distanced, and staff will be wearing face masks to keep customers safe. Tables will also be thoroughly cleaned between each guest.

City Restaurant

This Argentinian steakhouse on St Andrew Square has reopened. The restaurant has introduced a new reduced contact service for customer who would prefer that too.
