LUCKNOW: Chancellor Anandiben Patel appointed Prof Pradeep Kumar Mishra, a faculty of IIT-BHU, as the new vice-chancellor of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University on Wednesday. Prof Mishra, who is currently completing his tenure in Jharkhand University, will take charge towards January end.
He succeeds Prof Vineet Kansal. “I intend to improve the startup innovation ecosystem in AKTU and work towards getting the varsity a good NIRF ranking. For a good ranking, we will be focusing on further developing and nurturing our teaching and learning resources.
Will take national and international support to enrich our learning resources,” said Prof Mishra. Prof Pradeep Mishra has done a lot of work on the cleanliness and pollution control of Ganga while staying at IIT-BHU. He did BTech in chemical engineering from IIT-Roorkee in 1986. He also obtained an M.Tech degree from IIT-Mumbai .
