PJ Proby's entire tour CANCELLED after sick boasts about lust for underage girls

Singer PJ Proby's entire tour has been cancelled after he boasted about his lust for underage girls.

The US-born singer - who was a rival to Elvis and Cliff Richard back in the 1960s - sparked outrage by claiming he won't marry because he only wants to be with young girls.

“The last lady in my life was Elizabeth Conway in 1997. She was 13 when I met her. I don’t think there’ll be another because it’s against the law," he said whilst promoting his 20-date UK farewell tour.

“I won’t marry a girl I can’t raise from the age of 12, 13 or 14. I like that they’re young and fresh-looking and don’t come with baggage – nobody’s messed with their heart and broken it."

The Billingham Forum in Teesside and Lyric Theatre in Carmarthen, Wales, subsequently pulled the plug on his performances.

And now the whole tour has been scrapped, with support act Sounds of The Fortunes confirming the news on their website.

Speaking to The Mirror, Proby claimed not to have been in a relationship for 22 years because he prefers young women.

“They’re still in school so I can have a hand in their education and make sure their grades are all right, make sure the way they think about religion is all right, and what is and isn’t proper," he said.

However, he denied actually dating 'young girls', and his three brides were all over the age of consent.

“I never dated young girls; I married every one I went out with,” he added.

“My first wife, Marianne Adams, was 16. My second, Judy Howard, was 17.

"Then I married a 21-year old girl from Blackpool named Dulcie Taylor. My marriages lasted no longer than three years.”

But he said he can't use a dating agency because his preferences would not be well received.

“An agency would get in trouble if they looked for a girl of the kind I’m looking for, they’d go to prison," he added.

Born James Marcus Smith in Houston, Texas, on November 6, he claimed that in his home state, "girls did marry by 12," citing Elvis' romance with Priscilla which began when she was just 14.
