PJ Harvey has been announced as the first headliner of 2016’s Field Day. Her performance will be her first UK live, full band show since she played at the Royal Albert Hall in 2011.

Taking place on 11 and 12 June, this year’s Field Day celebrates its 10th year in London’s Victoria Park. The event has today confirmed the likes of Cass McCombs, Deerhunter, Dean Blunt, Four Tet, Skepta and Holly Herndon for the Saturday leg of the event, while Harvey will be joined by Beach House, GOAT, John Grant and The Thurston Moore Band for the Sunday stretch.

PJ Harvey’s performance follows the release of her first volume of poetry and a stint at Somerset house. The Somerset house performance, entitled Recording in Progress, allowed Harvey to share the recording process of her ninth studio album in front of live audiences inside an architectural installation.
