PizzaStorm shuts in Eldon Square as company announces it's 'closed for business' after three years

The PizzaStorm restaurant in Newcastle city centre's Eldon Square has shut its doors as the company announced it was "closed for business".

The restaurant was one of many that opened up in the Grey's Quarter overhaul of intu Eldon Square in 2016/17.

But on Thursday there was a sign in the window which read: "Closed for business.

It said: "Unfortunately it's now time to say goodbye.

"PizzaStorm is now closed but we would like to thank all of our customers for their loyalty and support."

The company, which also has restaurants in Nottingham and London, confirmed on its website that it was "closed for business".

It added: "Thank you to all of our loyal customers for your support over the last three years."

PizzaStorm specialised in custom-made 11-inch stone-baked pizza, with more than 50 toppings to choose from.
