Restaurant chain PizzaExpress is giving customers another reason to celebrate this Christmas, as it becomes one of the first restaurants in the UK to add Prosecco DOC Rosé to its menu, hot on the heels of its arrival from Italy.
Available in pizzerias across the country and on delivery from Thursday, December 3, pizza lovers will be able to enjoy a glass of this special fizz with their meals, with many sipping the brand-new bubbles for the very first time. It is priced from £4.95 per glass, and £23.50 per bottle.
Tipped as one of the biggest drinks launches of the year, it was only approved for production by the Prosecco DOC Consortium in May, with bottles from its first production run arriving this month.
Unlike other sparkling Italian rosé that customers may have already tried, ‘pink Prosecco’ uses an approved blend of Glera and Pinot Noir grapes grown exclusively within the Prosecco region in the north east of Italy; the latter variety giving the liquid its pink hue.

"The new Prosecco DOC Rosé has a lovely texture and great versatility with its soft red fruit flavours, gentle bubbles and refreshing finish, making it an even greater partner for a range of flavours and toppings."
