Good news for pizza lovers! Pizza Hut Japan has introduced a new "Drinkable Pizza Cheese Curry" as a limited-time item and it is turning heads already. According to FoodBeast, the food item is officially titled the 'Nomeru Pizza Cheese Curry', with a lot more gooey cheese on top, as well as curry instead of pizza sauce. The 'Drinkable Cheese Curry Pizza' has limited-time pie blends Japanese curry sauce with Gouda cheese on pizza dough, highlighting the creamy, molten texture that inspired the “drinkable” label in the first place and its liquid toppings overflow and pour off the crust.

"If we’re talking about foods that are so delicious you could drink them, the first thing that comes to mind is the universally beloved curry. Enjoy the combination of gooey cheese and rich curry in a pizza that is so delicious you’ll want to drink it all up!," Pizza Hut described it in a press release posted on Monday.

Gouda cheese used in cheese curry pizza
Instead of using traditional mozzarella, the chain opted for Gouda cheese, known for its sharper taste and stronger aroma. The choice gives the pizza a deeper, richer and more savoury flavour compared to standard cheese-loaded pizzas.
Curry pizza is already popular in Japan, while curry bread remains a staple in bakeries across the country. Cheese curry is also a familiar comfort-food combination in Japanese cuisine. Building on these well-loved flavours, Pizza Hut Japan combined the concepts into a new creation designed around an extra-stretchy cheese experience.
What's the cost?
The Nomeru Pizza Cheese Curry is currently available at participating Pizza Hut Japan outlets and will remain on the menu until June 15. Prices start at 700 yen (around $4.55) for a personal-sized pizza, while the medium version is priced at 2,230 yen (approximately $14.50). The chain is also offering a combo meal featuring fries and fried chicken for 990 yen.
