Pizza Express to fully reopen restaurants on the Abbey Road and Bankside in London

Pizza Express has revealed it will welcome back diners to 46 of its restaurants from July 9.

The pizza company's phased restart plans also include the opening of an additional 23 locations for delivery and click-and-collect services only from Thursday, 2 July. This follows a successful trial at 13 of its pizzerias in London.

Enhanced safety measures for the re-opening include social distancing, regular health checks of staff and the creation of hand sanitiser stations. Digital menus and the option of online payment will also be introduced.

The pizzerias to re-open include its London sites at Abbey Road and Bankside, while the 23 for delivery and click-and-collect are all in London and the South-East.

Managing director Zoe Bowley said: “Our top priority is to protect the safety and wellbeing of our teams and customers.”
