Pizza Express is giving its customers free bottomless dough balls - but there's a catch

Love the dough balls at Pizza Express?

Trick question – of course you do.

So you’ll be pleased to hear that the restaurant has launched a new offer which gives you as many dough balls and garlic butter as your heart desires.

Unlimited dough balls are now up for grabs, as Pizza Express celebrates 50 years since it first served the starter.

The offer is available to diners who purchase a bottle of Prosecco, with the plate refilled as many times as you can manage in 90 minutes.

A plate of dough balls can be shared between two diners, per every bottle of Prosecco ordered.

So if you’re visiting in a group, four diners will need to order two bottles of Prosecco to enjoy the delicious dough creations, and so on.

If any of your party follows a vegan or gluten-free diet, alternatives are also available.

You can take advantage of the offer all day, every day - until Sunday 29 September.

The full terms and conditions are available on the Pizza Express website.

According to the Pizza Express website, its dough balls were created 50 years ago.

Chefs created the dish using the off-cuts of fresh pizza dough - and the item has been a fan favourite ever since.

To mark the milestone, the chain has also launched a 'golden dough ball' competition.

50 golden dough balls have been hidden across the UK, with a £1,000 Pizza Express gift card up for grabs to each person who finds one.

Clues on where to find the golden balls are being posted on the restaurant's Instagram page.
