Pizza Express confirms West Bridgford restaurant will reopen on April 12

Restaurant chain Pizza Express will be reopening 118 branches on April 12 when the Government eases coronavirus restrictions for hospitality - but Nottingham won't be one of them.

However, the restaurant in Bridgford Road, West Bridgford, will be welcoming customers back after months of lockdown.

In line with the roadmap guidelines, the pizzeria will only be open for alfresco dining.

The Nottingham site, in King Street, does not have sufficient space on the pavement for diners, so it's likely to be one of the branches to remain closed until restrictions for indoor dining are lifted on May 17.

A second city centre Pizza Express, in Goose Gate, closed permanently last year as part of the company's major restructuring plans.

Visitors can book a table at West Bridgford on the Pizza Express website and fans will be able to celebrate with a free drink when they sign up to the mailing list.
