More people are embracing Veganuary and a plant-based diet than ever before as those looking to change their eating habits use the start of a new year as the perfect time to make healthier lifestyle choices.
With more people set to take on a plant-based diet in 2020 than ever before, pizza delivery chain Papa John’s has extended its meat-free offerings by adding a new butternut squash base and a range of new vegan pizzas to its menu nationwide.
The Butternut Squash Base is available with all medium pizzas with gluten-free toppings.
The new plant-based offerings follow on from the successful launch of vegan ‘Sheese’ last year.

The four new vegan pizzas include:
- Jackfruit Pepperoni - a twist on the classic pepperoni pizza.
- American Hot Jackfruit - topped with both jackfruit pepperoni slices and jalapeno peppers.
- Vegan Sausage and Pepperoni - jackfruit pepperoni slices and vegan sausage.
- Vegan Works - topped with vegan sausage, jackfruit pepperoni, portobello mushrooms, fresh green peppers, onions, and black Herrera olives.
