Pizza and pistols: Charges laid over fake delivery murder plot

Two more men have been charged over the alleged failed hit on former Rebels bikie Ricky Ciano in August 2015, New South Wales Police have said.

Officers allege Mr Ciano was targeted at his Wamberal home, on the Central Coast, by armed bikie associates pretending to deliver a pizza.

They were allegedly thwarted when Mr Ciano refused to answer the door. It is understood he was also armed.

Joshua Baines, 25, and Siar Munshizada, 29, were charged on Tuesday over the 2015 conspiracy to murder.

They are due to appear in Burwood Local Court next month.

Abuzar Sultani, now aged 29, is also accused of conspiring to kill Mr Ciano.

Mr Ciano was eventually found dead in a car near Oberon, in the state's central-west, on Valentine's Day last year — he had been missing for almost four days.

Detective Superintendent Scott Cook said investigations into Mr Ciano's death are ongoing

"We are continuing to piece together his movements over the weekend, but based on the information we have gathered, the conspiracy is not related to his death," Detective Superintendent Cook said.

Police are investigating whether Mr Ciano was killed by a lethal dose of drugs.

The Criminal Groups Squad has brought charges against more than 20 people over the activities of the Burwood chapter of the Rebels bikie gang.

"The Homicide Squad is working side-by-side with Strike Force Raptor and pursuing a number of lines of inquiry relating to the chapter's activities," Detective Superintendent Cook said.

"This includes a strong focus on the links between groups, as well as those who associate with — and between — the groups."
