Pixie Lott's life with famous husband, her real name, and Rihanna-inspired music comeback

Pop sensation Pixie Lott burst onto the music scene with her debut single Mama Do in 2008, with the track shooting straight to number one in the UK charts.

But while many people will know her name, they might not realise that Pixie isn't actually the moniker on her birth certificate.

It's just a sweet nickname her mum Beverley gave her when she was younger.

Her real name is actually Victoria Louise Lott, but her mum started calling her Pixie because she was born several months premature and was a "tiny, cute baby".

Pixie, now aged 32, began her music career as a teenager and found herself in the middle of a fierce bidding war by record execs.

She started off writing on Alexandra Burke's debut album and supporting The Saturdays on their world tour before her first single became a huge success.

Her first album Turn It Up was also a hit, with another song from the record, Boys and Girls, riding high in the charts.

In high demand , Pixie even landed several movie roles, including Fred: The Movie in 2010.

However, her second album didn't quite reach the same heights, debuting at number 18 and the lead single for her third album, Lay Me Down, didn't even chart inside the top 100.

It seemed the singer's career was struggling, although she did make waves with a few YouTube covers of other songs, including Lorde's hit Royals.

But it wasn't until she took part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2014 alongside Trent Whiddon that her career really started to take off once more.

"Doing Strictly was one of the best experiences of my life. It was the first time I've ever felt terrified of going out to perform, because you want everything to be perfect," she told the Daily Mail.

Since then, Pixie has performed at the National Television Awards, the Pride of Britain Awards, and the VE Day concert then joined the cast of the stage adaptation of Breakfast at Tiffany's.

As well as releasing more music, Pixie also became a coach on The Voice Kids in 2017 and has continued in the role to this day.

Away from the spotlight, Pixie married the 'love of her life' in 2022 after being engaged for almost six years.

Pixie met Oliver Cheshire, a model from Hertfordshire who has worked for the likes of Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana and Vivienne Westwood, in 2010 at a Select Models event.

Oliver was just 15 when he was scouted at a Clothes Show Live event and was subsequently cast in a campaign for CK jeans.

In November 2016, Oliver got down on one knee on the steps of St Paul's Cathedral and popped the question to Pixie after six years of dating.

Pixie said 'yes' and admitted she "cried her eyes out" when Oliver romantically surprised her.

He wrote on Instagram: "What a beautiful day and the most beautiful woman in the world said yes to me on it. Lucky man."

Just a few months after, Pixie stated that she wanted to have two weddings, one in the UK and one abroad.

Due to hectic schedules and the pandemic, their wedding was postponed several times - but the pair finally made it down the aisle last summer.

The two said 'I do' at Ely Cathedral in Cambridgeshire.

"We moved the date three times in total – it felt like it was never going to happen," Pixie told Vogue.

She also shared details of her Schiaparelli gown designed by Daniel Roseberry that came apart to form a second reception dress.

The singer also admitted she'd been looking forward to her wedding day her whole life and that it was a "dream come true".

Following on from their wedding, the happy couple have since revealed they are expecting their first child together.

Pixie confirmed the news with a series of sweet pictures of her husband cradling her bump along with an ultrasound snap.

They captioned the post: "We are beyond excited to announce we are expecting our first child together and cannot wait to start a family of our own.

The singer, who is due to give birth in September, said she won't be having a gender reveal party as she already knows the sex of the baby.

She added that she's working on new music and has been inspired by Rihanna's recent Super Bowl performance while pregnant.

The singer addressed her hope to balance being a mum with her career as she admitted she'd love to "keep working and keep having adventures".
