Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon has told Manchester City that their "home form has not been good enough" in their race with Arsenal to win the Premier League, as he called for the Blues to bolster their attack in the transfer window.
Despite managing 16 shots in the match, Pep Guardiola's side had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Everton at the Etihad Stadium. Erling Haaland's 21st Premier League goal was cancelled out by a sumptuous strike from the edge of the box by Demarai Gray.
Arsenal could have gone 10 points clear of the Blues with a win against Newcastle on Tuesday night, but the Magpies held on for a 0-0 draw at the Emirates. The result now means that City can cut the deficit to Mikel Arteta's side to just five points with a win against Chelsea on Thursday.

The trip to Stamford Bridge will by no means be easy, but Lennon has claimed that it is City's home form that needs improvement if they are to win the league this term.
"In a normal season, we’d be over halfway in, but we’re still a couple of games short because of the World Cup," Lennon told BoyleSports. "Manchester City still have to play Arsenal twice, which could close the seven-point gap and be pivotal in the title race.
"Manchester City’s home form has not been good enough recently, against Everton they looked short of ideas. They’ll find their form again in the second half of the season. Erling Haaland has been outstanding and will make a difference in the Champions League.
"Everyone is talking about Erling Haaland with the volume of goals he’s scoring, but Pep Guardiola should look at other areas to bolster the attack. Manchester City need more goals from the wide players and the midfield."
