Pitt street food market in Edinburgh is set to reopen after the coronavirus lockdown this weekend

Edinburgh's iconic hipster hangout The Pitt Street Food Market is set to reopen this weekend, as bars, markets and other eateries prepare to enter phase two of lockdown easing.

They posted on Facebook today (16 June) to say:

"Hiiiii! Have you missed us as much as we've missed you?!

"We are opening our yard this weekend for the first time since lockdown! What to expect; street food, cold beers, sunshine and serious social distancing measures.

"Stay tuned for more info."

Nicola Sturgeon has said that she is 'confident' that she will be able to announce that Scotland is able to move to phase two of lockdown easing at the next official review date on 18 June.

Phase two will see pubs able to reopen their beer gardens with appropriate social distancing measures, as well as street food markets: as long as people continue to stay two metres apart.

Small-scale weddings will also be allowed to go ahead.

Here's a list of everything you'll be able to do again as we go into phase two.
