Pitt QB Kenny Pickett keeps draft stock rising with big day vs. Duke

It’s still a wide-open race for the top spot in the 2022 NFL draft’s quarterback class, and no prospect in college football is making a faster move up the board than Pitt’s Kenny Pickett.

The “super senior” has made the most of his extra year of eligibility, putting together an impressive 2021 campaign that has him already entering the first-round conversation.

His latest performance in Saturday’s 54-29 win over Duke will keep the arrow pointing in the right direction, as Pickett completed 28 of his 43 pass attempts for 416 yards and three touchdowns, with no interceptions.

Pickett also showed off his versatility and athleticism, adding 57 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

We’re still a long way from figuring out who will be the best quarterback prospect in next year’s draft, but Pickett is making a strong case for that spot.
