Thanks to the Internet, Toto’s “Africa” has become more meme than music.
There have been petitions asking famous bands to cover the song (Weezer actually did), Twitter accounts started dedicated to the track, and a website started that plays the song on repeat.
With that in mind, it seems only fitting that the round-headed rapper Pitbull should remix the song for the movie Aquaman.
Titled “Ocean To Ocean”, the new mix sees the song in an almost unrecognisable state, with Mr Worldwide adding new lyrics – some about Banksy, others about the sea – and having Rhea sing the chorus.

while the track has received mixed reviews online, Aquaman has been met with a surprisingly positive reaction from critics, with some calling the film a step in the right direction for the DC universe following Justice League.
