ORLANDO, Fla. _ The Detroit Pistons started both halves disastrously Tuesday night.
But they were able to turn it around in both halves to snap a five-game losing streak with a 103-96 victory over the Orlando Magic.
Andre Drummond, with 23 points and 19 rebounds, just missed his fifth 20-20 game of the year to lead the Pistons (5-5) at Amway Center.
His blocked shot of Aaron Gordon and a steal clinched the win for the team, which hadn't won since starting the season 4-0.
Blake Griffin scored 14 of his 20 points in the second half, and Reggie Jackson scored seven of his 15 points in the final 3:55.
Evan Fournier led the Magic (4-7) with 27 points.
The Pistons trailed by 11 with 3:22 left in the third quarter, but an 11-2 run to end the quarter allowed the Pistons to cut the deficit to 80-78.
Ish Smith capped the quarter by blocking a Jerian Grant 3-point attempt, gathering the loose ball and scoring a layup just before the horn.
The Pistons trailed by 15 points early, but a 10-0 run allowed them to jump back into the game.
Stanley Johnson had his best game of the season, doing his damage at the power forward spot coming off the bench.
The Pistons shot poorly once again from 3-point range (11-for-37), but Johnson was 3-for-6 beyond the arc and finished with 13 points, six rebounds and three assists.
Drummond had his best half of the season to open the game, scoring 19 points and grabbing 12 rebounds by halftime.
He ran the floor and challenged shots at the rim.
After a one-handed jam off a missed shot, he let loose an expletive.
And his 3-pointer _ his second of the season _ banked in at the first-quarter buzzer cut the Magic lead to 31-26.
He had 13 points and eight rebounds in the first quarter.
